In effect, restoring the public swimming amenity that was originally present
on the Casino Site, the play area would be a shallow water playground for younger children, with a variety of potential themes, ranging from sea animals to
coral reefs to a pirate ship. It is intended to provide a controlled water play area to augment the beach and to be available at times when swimming in
the surf is not possible.
Here, children would play in the water, explore the forms, slide
on the slides and shoot water cannons. The play area would operate year round under a paid admission policy.
